Slippers for the Kids
I'm starting to get prepared for the cooler weather. I've been working on some fall projects and even preparing for a Halloween party. But as the cool air starts to settle in, I decided to sew something special for the kids.
Slippers.
Yep. My kids LOVE to feel cozy and warm, and slippers help them feel a little more comfortable in the cold weather. And I found the cutest tutorial on sewing slippers for the kiddies at Made By Rae. Her tutorial is for dragon slippers. But you can easily adapt them by making them however you like.
Wear them up or folded down. So soft and comfy.

They love their new slippers! And they were free, used from my fleece scraps, which is perfect for me!

Now go make your kidlets some slippers!! Thanks for stopping by!

They are adorable! I think I want to make a pair for my daughter- and myself!
They turned out great! This is going to sound weird but the way those were made I bet you could make them for a dog, too. (NOT comparing your children to dogs. Haha.) I know, I know. Sounds ridiculous. But in the winter snow gets stuck between there toes and freezes them together on walks, so they sell little booties for them. This would be waaaay cheaper than what they sell at Petsmart.
@Jamie Thanks! Have fun with them!
@Madison Nice! That's a great idea!!
That's awesome! I think I'll make some for my son as I have lots of fabric scraps kickin around. Thanks for sharing!
Found you on Happy Hour Freestyle Friday, loving this post, we love slippers and these are so cute! I'm a new follower, stop by and say Hi if you get a chance http://wedemeyerfamily.blogspot.com
I just saw these on KojoDesigns - cute and looks like a great way to use up some of my absurd fleece collection. Also looks like a great idea for my baby due in December - maybe he'll keep these on his feet better than his big brother kept socks on. Thanks for sharing!
Those came out so cute! I am very impressed. You all will have some toasty toes. I am a new follower from Fun For Kids Friday. Vicky @ www.messforless.net
