Upcycled Sweater Projects

So it's pretty much fall now.  You may or may not have dug into your winter clothes already.  Surprisingly, I haven't.  It's a very mild fall for us in the prairies.  I can't complain, but I am so ready to put away the shorts.  So if you've gone through your last year's fall/winter clothes, you might come across a couple of sweaters you no longer need.
To kick off fall and to reuse those old sweaters, I thought a fun roundup of upcycled sweater projects!  Since there are SO many adorable ideas out there.. here we go!

This is DEFINITELY on my list.  I can always use mitts and I like having a few to choose from.  Why not upcycle that fave sweater that hated to get rid of and make into something you can still wear!?  Check out the how to at Craftster.

Need a new fall bag?  Make one out of your old sweater!  I found this snazzy bag tutorial over at A Lemon Squeezy Home.

I'm loving this project!  A new warm sweater scarf.  Mmm.. and it looks fabulous!  This one's over at the HGTV website.

I Am Momma Hear Me Roar did something similar with hers.  But she made hers into a stylish scarflette.  Super cute, right?!

I saw this next project last year and have been meaning to make them.  Isn't this great?  Some fantastic new boots from an old sweater.  The tutorial is at Instructables.

And if you need a winter headwrap for that chilly air, use your old sweater.  Flamingo Toes made this Anthropologie knock off.  I just love it and am so tempted to make this one for my daughter.

An old sweater turned slippers is such a great idea.  A perfect way to make your feet cozy and warm!  This how to is at Maya Made

Make some fun fall pumpkins from your old sweaters.  I love how fuzzy and soft they look, perfect for fall.  Check them out at Hummadeedledee.

I`m so inspired by this winter wreath made by Decorating Addiction.  The look is perfect for the season!

Add some interest to a simple vase by wrapping it with an old sweater.  This is so fun and pretty!  Find it at Under the Table and Dreaming.

Why not make some fuzzy stuffed animals with an old sweater or two.  It makes them extra cuddly and so sweet!  The Martha Stewart site shows you how.

Last of all, which is the next project I`m planning on tackling.  Sweater pillows!  I love them.  So cozy and warm and adds some lovely texture and festivity to the home.  Find these ones at Brassy Apple.

Hope you feel especially warm and comfy after seeing these super ideas!  Now get started on your own sweater refashions!  Thanks for stopping by.

Such cute ideas! I saw the pig a few years back in a Martha Stewart holiday mag, never got around to making it. No time like the present right?
