Monday, Monday.
So how was everyone's weekend?
The family and I packed up on Friday for a last minute trip to the lake. It was a relaxing weekend away from all media sources and the usual craziness of our weekend. It was really nice to get away, too. Kind of like a mini holiday.
Here's how easy it is to make one.
Get some heavier cardboard to cut out a wreath form from.
I traced a clock for the outer circle and a lid for the inner one. Just find something in a circle shape that's the size you want.
Carefully, cut out your wreath form with a utility knife.
Now cut out another one.
Tape the two shapes together with packaging tape. That should make your form thick and sturdy enough to use.
Now get together your fabric scraps. I used a bunch of fabrics leftover from my daughter's bedroom and anything else in the colors for her room.
Cut slits in a 10" or 11" wide piece of fabric.
Then tear away! It's actually kinda fun!
Once you've got all you think you need you can get to work.
Just tie them on with a double knot alternating your fabrics.
Until you reach the end. Now sit back and admire.
I love the color combo!
If you want you can add a little cluster of fabric rosettes of your choice. I actually used an old rosette cluster I made from my daughter's old 'bubblegum headband'. She accidentally broke the headband, but I decided to save this piece. Came in handy for this!
Hot glue it onto your wreath and you can hang that prettiness up!
Girly and sweet, perfect for her bedroom door.
I used a length of tulle ribbon to hang mine.
I wasn't sure about the bedroom door wreath thing, but now I love it. I almost want one for mine, too!

How cool!! But how is this going to work when she is old enough to begin slamming her door in a huff? ;-) Really, I could see these in my home. One for each plus the bathroom.....
Could've sworn I've commented on this very wreath before! I still love it! Would love for you to share at Gettin' Krafty With It:

Absolutely adorable!! I bought a couple of embroidery hoops are a thrift store to do that exact thing with!!
Too cute! Love how you put it on a cardboard ring. I made a similar one but made a ring out of a clothes hanger. Yours is much more substantial. I pinned this!
Adorable little wreathe!! :) :) Hugs, Holly

This is just so pretty. I'm inspired that you started your wreath with just a cardboard circle. Very resourceful. :D
and the colors here are clear and bright but yet soft. Nicely done. Oh, and the added fabric flowers were the perfect finishing touch. Can you tell I liked this? :D
