How was everyone's weekend? I enjoyed a relaxing long weekend celebrating Canada Day. We even got a few things done in the meantime.Like the outdoor chalkboard that I've been pining after for over a year. I have been wanting to put one up for the kids since last year, but since the boys were still small it wasn't as much of a priority. Anyways, here it is!
It was so easy, too!
My husband bought a large plywood sheet and primed the entire surface.
Then rolled a few coats of the chalkboard paint over it.
And hung it up!
It's easy to clean up, just spray it down with a hose!
My little artists love to draw, so it's perfect for outdoors.
And since we don't have much for sidewalks, it's perfect for the large sidewalk chalk.
What projects did you complete this past weekend?

That is so awesome! Does it come clean after the sprinklers hit it? My kids love chalk so this would be perfect. I would be so grateful if you would link up at Mom's Library. Hope to see you there.
Every family home should have an outdoor chalkboard. I painted some big old paving slabs with chalkboard paint (we were going to chuck them in the skip so I thought I should put them to good use) and my kids love drawing on them!
These are the best projects, easy, totally useful and look great! I wonder if I could paint the chalkboard paint directly on my brick wall...might have to try that.
thanks!
