Feather Plume Pens

As you may have gathered, my daughter's party is getting closer and I've been busy with preparations.
I don't want to give too much away, but I wanted to share the feather plume pens we created with all of you!
My daughter loved the idea of the feather pens, so it had to be done.

Here's how to make some for yourself.  You'll need ribbon, feather plumes (I found mine on Ebay, but you can purchase them at most craft stores), pens, hot glue gun and embellishments (optional).

Glue the tip of your feather plume to the end of your pen like this.

Choose your ribbon and start at the bottom of the pen, gluing it on.

Wrap the base once, then start angling your ribbon upwards.

Tuck in your feather as you reach the top.

Once you get to the top, trim your ribbon, leaving about an inch or less.

Fold and glue the edge under like this.

Then glue the end piece onto your pen.

Your pen is quite lovely as it is, but if you want to add a little embellishments, you can do it now.

I added a little gem at the top with hot glue.

And that's all there is to it.  Go make some more!

Pretty in purple.  Ready for a party!

Have a terrific week!

Thanks so much for linking to my party! These are perfect for a party! For my daughter's sweet 16, we did centerpieces with hot pink plumes. They turned out so cool. Have an awesome party.
