I’m finally posting about our dinner party in the spring. It’s been a crazy spring and summer.
The weather was so beautiful, that we were busy enjoying it.
Every year, we like to throw an adult only dinner party. Mostly because my husbands and my birthday’s are in spring, so we do a little shindig in spring or summer. This year we went with May. Like I said, we were getting warm weather so we took advantage of it.
As for our theme, I’m loving the look of succulents with flowers. So fresh and pretty! A little boho mixed in and it went together wonderfully!
My sugar cookies were hand painted and I had a lot of fun making them especially for the party!
Cotton candy flavoured mousse. Amazing!
Most of the treats on my dessert table had a touch of alcohol. An adult only party is a perfect excuse to add in boozy treats!
These vanilla cake pops had vanilla vodka. Yummy!
Peach bellini cupcakes. These were my favourite.
Tequila fudge shots. Oh my.
Boozy homemade marshmallows. So. Dang. Good!
My backdrop was decorated with my grandmother’s crocheted doily. I added some fake flowers and the lilac lace ribbon.
And an abundance of baby’s breath. LOVE!
The weather participated so nicely and we were able to dine outdoors.
The table runner was a roll of wrapping paper I found on clearance. I just loved the print.
This gorgeous cedar table was put together by my husband just a few days before the occasion! How lucky am I!?
Our fabulous guests ready to dine!
Our menu included bacon wrapped pork loin, cheesy stacked potatoes, strawberry and feta salad and fresh dinner rolls made by one of our guests.
It was a great evening with even better company!
And our guests left with a little potted succulent of their own.
Thanks for stopping by!
