This past summer, my kids really wanted to hang out with their cousins and have a summertime pool party. Who am I to say to a party??!!
So I gathered up all of my fun supplies and whipped up a pool party at next to nothing!
Here’s how I did it.
First off, here’s the fun and colourful dessert table! I love colourful parties!!
Fresh fruit kabobs are really inexpensive. Especially during the summer when most fruit is in season! Plus it’s a great way to add something healthy to a treat table.
With some cones I had in the pantry, I baked up some cupcake cones topped with frosting and sprinkles, of course!
With the leftover batter, I used up some striped cupcake liners that I had from the dollar store.
Suckers can be really inexpensive. I found these ones from the dollar store too and the colors worked perfectly!
The circle garland was made from cardstock I had on hand and the the beach ball garland was styrofoam balls (also from the dollar store) that I painted like beach balls and glued onto string.
Add some fun sprinkles to a quick chocolate chip cookie recipe and the kids loved them!
More candy from the dollar store; these sour ribbons went perfectly.
The other candy was found at a Bulk Barn store.
Beach balls were a great way to add a summery feel to the dessert table.
Beverage bars are a must for summer parties. I whipped up a quick Kool Aid punch (literally just prepared Kool Aid and a lemon lime soda) for the kids and some tasty sangria for us adults.
Using existing flamingo cups, straws and containers, this was easily put together!
That’s all there is to it!
And it was a nice way to use up some old party supplies!
Thanks for coming!!
